Well, with the desperate attempt to get this forum up and running properly, I thought maybe we should have a poll where we could discuss a certain set of ponies each month. And what better place to start than right at the very beginning with the original collector ponies?
It seems even more topical now that Hasbro are re-releasing our old six friends, and that they're bound to reach the UK, where the Rescue Home is based, within the next month.
So who's your favourite, and do you have any photos/stories to share with us?
My favourites are Blossom and Cotton Candy - I can't really choose between. Cotton Candy is probably the prettiest in my opinion, but Blossom was my first ever Collector pony, since my sister passed hers on to me when I was only five. Blossom was always my sister's favourite pony, and because of that, she's very special to me too.

I tape recorded the original US television commercial for the Original ponies off of the internet, but now I can't find the recording to put a link up. However, I do have the lyrics to share...

Whenever I hear that, I go all "tingly" with emotion, even though I wasn't even around at the time that commercial was shown. I just can't get over the fact that this is the first ever recording of the tune which became so well-known amongst us pony fanatics in later years! Yep, I'm mad, I know! ;D
