My computer has broken, and deleted all of my old files too.  Hence, I haven't been around as much as I should have been, and the schedule has gone haywire. Right when we were coming up for our 1st anniversary too. I was actually in the process of writing a Rescue Home e-newsletter when the machine died. We're supposed to be getting a new computer some time next week, but I'm afraid I won't be around much before then. Thanks for your patience, pony pals!  |

Computers.
Sometimes they croak.
For some reason my side of the computer was giving me errors but my boyfriends side was fine.
I was away to but am back now.
I can use a computer but i can not fix one.

Exactly the same as me then, Drusilla. Unfortunately, I do not have a boyfriend who can fix mine for me! Dad has a friend at work who is supposed to be looking into getting my lost files off of my old machine. These included photographs of my late guinea pig, Sparkle, and pictures of my nephew and nieces as babies. I hope he can save them... He was also the one who was supposed to be getting us a new computer cheaply though. So far, no sign of one. So I am still working from the internet cafe. |

Aww, my computer almost crashed a few weeks ago, too! I was just about to lose all of my files and it came through. Hope you get your files back and get a new computer soon!

Thank goodness for that, Balto! I'd hate for you to go through this too.
Dad's seeing his friend about the new computer today, and he's also supposed to be trying to move the files from the old computer to a disk. Fingers crossed!

The computer wouldn't work once Dad got it home.  His 'computer expert' friend had set it up wrong! And the hard drive seems to have disappeared on the old computer...so my files aren't going to be retrieved. Oh well... |

Yeah, I can with all the pony stuff for the forum etc. It's only the pictures of the kids and my guinea pig that are irreplaceable. It could have been worse had I not uploaded a lot of stuff online though, so I guess I can't complain.
