I've already asked about her on the Arena and Trading Post, but nobody really seemed to know where she came from, so I figured it might be worth asking here too. We travelled to France today for the Lille Braderie (supposedly the biggest flea market in Europe :frolic: ), where I found a few ponies, including Easter Sky Skimmer who has been on my wish list for a very long time. I was really pleased to find her, of course. However, that's not what this post is about. On another stall, I found a different Easter Sky Skimmer, this time an adorable little figurine that I've never seen before. She has a molded mane and real hair tail, and seems similar to a McDonalds pony in size. The markings on her belly read "2001 Hasbro Int. Inc. China". Apologies in advance for the rubbish pictures. I smashed my camera in a door earlier this week (long story), and now I can't see through the screen and have to guess what I'm photographing!    Any help would be very much appreciated. That is strange because I always thought of this figurine as a McDonalds one. Yes, I saw it before on a listing of McD G2. There isn't any marking for McD anywhere by chance?
And I wish I had a working camera at the moment ;D

Nope, there are no McDonalds markings at all.  A member at the Trading Post thought she might have come inside a chocolate Easter egg or something, but I haven't been able to find out anything else about this. |

I never found out anything else about her either.  And of course you can use the photos for your guide! I keep meaning to send you the photos of those comics too. Would you prefer to have Sky Skimmer on a plain background? I can get some better pictures of her and send them along with the comic photos now that you've reminded me. Sorry it's taken so long!  |

I think she may have come with some shampoo or something like that. I think I have seen a pony like her in one of my French MLP comics from back then. I can't check it right now but if I remember I'll see if I can find it |

I found it! It wasn't shampoo but perfume. I don't have a scanner installed but I took pictures of the picture in the magazine:   The pony in these pictures is another one, she's called Flora and I think that was Morning Glory's French name. Though Morning Glory is pink with a blue body marking and this pony looks yellow with a red body marking kinda like Floral. |

Ooh wow, I've never seen that before!! Maybe Lancer's Sky Skimmer came with a similar set then?? They look identical except for the hair colour and symbols. . . .

Oh, THANK YOU so much for that, The_Loner. That's just brilliant, and the nearest anyone has got to finding her.  I agree, the one in the pic does look Floral - one of my favourite G2s. So now I'll be trying to track that set down too!  Thanks again! xxx |
