I thought this could be fun. Tell about and show pictures of your very first pony . Who was it? How and when did you get her/him? What is she/he in your ponyland etc.? My first pony was Cotton Candy. I got her for my birthday party in 1986. She is a doctor and a lawyer and very rich. She is married to Tex and they have a daughter. She is an unidentical triplet and she also has a younger sister. She loves to party and go to clubs, she loves fashion and to spend time together with her sisters and her husband. She is a free spirit who loves to have fun. I'm off to find some pictures of her now. Okay here is pictures of Cotton CandyNow tell about and show pictures of your first pony

My first pony was Little Rattles (better known as Little Whiskers) the Teeny Tiny Baby. My sister bought her for me one weekend in 1993 as a special treat. I never dared to brush her hair in case it went frizzy (what with all those curls!), but it seems to have got messed up anyway unfortunately . She still has her original ribbon though, and holds a very special place in my heart. When I was younger, Little Rattles would spend hours in my "play tent" with me (there are photographs of me with her, but I don't have a scanner so can't show them here ), and the rest of her time was spent living in front of the TV. She was a mischievous character and often got Baby Moondream (her cousin) in trouble, because Moondream was well-known for being my favourite and the other ponies were jealous! And here she is - the pony who started the obsession...

Why is it that as children, we find ponies with no tails and other faults even more adorable than brand new ones?

I love ponies with rainbow-coloured hair like Starflower's! Does it say on the bottom of her hoof where she was made? There are 3 different versions of Starflower that I know of - one made in Hong Kong, one in Italy, and one (who has no country of origin written on her hoof) who was made in Spain. Because of your location, I just wondered if she might be the rarer version with nothing written on her feet.

I love rainbow-coloured hair ponies too^^. Yes, my starflower has no country of origin written on her hoof. Is this rare? I'm thinking to reroot its hair with identic colour hair. www.custompony.comI want it to look as beautiful as it used to be

Most ponies have "Made in Hong Kong" or "Made In China" written on their hooves, but a few ponies were made in other countries such as Spain, Italy, Argentina, Brazil, France and Greece. Spanish and Argentinean ponies have no country of origin written on their hooves for unknown reasons. These ponies are often known as "No Country Ponies", since it's very hard to find out which of these two countries they came from LOL! But in Starflower's case, I think it's a safe bet to say she's Spanish, which means she's quite a bit more unusual than her Hong Kong and even Italian counterparts. At my MLP Rescue Home, I haven't re-haired many ponies yet, so am not an expert on which colours to use or anything like that. We are just about to take in a big lot of completely bald ponies though, who I intend on re-hairing, so once they're done, I'll show some pictures on here to show you how re-haired ponies might look. I think it's really up to you whether you re-hair her or not. Think about it for a while before you do anything, because I wouldn't want you to regret doing anything to your childhood pony !

I...can't remember o.o;; My earlier recollections are of virtually all my childhood ponies together...lol. It might have been...erm.. Smelly--uh, I mean Daisy Sweet >.>;; Or Misty seapony (forget her "real" name), or Baby Ballerina (hmm...I doubt that?)... I doubt it was Firefly... *cackles at Lightheart* From the pinnacle to the pits, man, poor pony ; 0-P Ah, I suppose I should tell about all mine. --Misty was kind of bland...lol. For a very long time she was my only seapony, so she was kind of removed from the rest by having to stay in her pool all the time. : 0-P She was kind, helpful, sympathetic, never had much happening...mreh. X 0-) Eventually I got three baby seaponies for her to suprevise, though, and then life got a little more interesting. --Smelly... sorry, Daisy Sweet... lost her tail so long ago I can't even remember what she looked like with one X 0-) Or he I should say, for Smelly (despite his perfume and hearts... or maybe because of them, I always did like irony...) was one of my two boys of Ponyland. He was always jockeying with Firefly for position, especially for the heart of lovely Beauty. He was obnoxious, bombastic, and self-centered, however, so no one with any sense actually liked him : 0-P Poor guy, he was friendless for so long... I think he did hook up with the evil dinosaurs to kidnap Beauty a time or two, though, so don't feel too sorry for him. --Baby Ballerina "Bibi" was my only baby! I modeled her somewhat after me: I loved ballet but was otherwise quite a tomboy. She was quite a tough character, the adopted daughter of Firefly who was forever beating bad guys up. Don't you dare call her a wimp. ; 0-P She had some small songwriting talent, too, it seemed...lol. --Firefly was the action hero of the tale, my other boy (despite whatever Firefly's Adventure said--he was the movie version) and was, as has been oft-mentioned before, run over by Truckie the truck while the vehicle was being mind-controlled by Sharptooth, ringleader of the bad dinosaurs. Firefly still has the blue pen "scars" from where I vigorously scribbled all over him for extra gory effects, somehow forgetting that pen couldn't be erased.
(Whoa, Lancer, "Liljekonval"--who's that? : 0-D She looks cool!)

Why is it that as children, we find ponies with no tails and other faults even more adorable than brand new ones? Um... lol.(In addition to all that rambling, though, the tailless Bluebelle my mom got for me also got a bonus replacement braided yarn tail from mom, which she still proudly wears. ; 0-) Never replacing it, nope, it's special...hehe...if a bit skimpy/tacky. *cough*) If Starflower were mine, I probably wouldn't rehair her for nostalgic reasons along...heh. But then, I seem to haeva thing for weird haricuts among my ponies, even the "new" ones. o.o;;

Hi,
I dont have a picture yet,
It was the plush blossom pony. I got her when i was 4 years old and now i am 28 so do the math. She is fadded, has stains on her, scratched eyes & frizzy dry hair. I wouldent change her for the world. I actualy found a mint one and traded the mint one away and kept my old one.
My mother gave her to me for the big move. We moved from Newfounland to Quebec, So she was my present for the trip and that was the pony that started it all.
I also remember being under the x-mas tree with her and pretending we lived there. LOL
My other memory is my mother washing her. We used to put her in a pillow case and then into the washing machine. I had to tell blossm that she was going swimming.
Yep, that is how my brain works. LOL

Aww..such a cute story. Blossom was my first plushie too - well, actually my mum's friend sent Cotton Candy and a handmade Blossom (from one of those Butterick patterns) at the same time. The story behind them (Mum's friend told us) was that she went to her sister's house, where a big spring cleaning was going on. Mum's friend's sister was clearing out her daughter's old toys, and the three ponies were ON THE RUBBISH PILE!!! They were pretty grubby, and Cotton Candy had a huge stain on her, but I love them just the same.
