Sorry for the lateness of this post. I've been really busy these last few days, and only just remembered this.
At the moment, all of my ponies are packed up for moving (quite funny when you consider the architect hasn't even started work yet), so I can't get to any of the ponies with the really sad stories, so in the meantime here is more of a "Before and After" filler-inner.
While in the middle of a transaction with Wart on the Trading Post, she and I began to talk about a Dream Beauty she'd found. She said Glider was "the worse condition MLP she'd ever seen", but there was no way she could post pictures, so she said she's include her in with the Applause Plushie Firefly I'd bought for no extra fee. I didn't even own a Highflying Beauty at the time (Glider is still my only one), so as you can imagine I was very pleased. I was somewhat nervous about what the pony might look like though - would she be intact even? Missing limbs and heads crossed my mind, especially taking into account how fragile Dream Beauties are. I was convinced at least her wings would be missing. Would there be any hope for her through restoration?
Eventually, the package showed up...hopefully the pictures will tell the rest of the story...
BEFORE
AFTER
(Close ups of her symbols to be added later - the computer has packed up on me right now! )
I still need to decide whether to re-pink her hair or not, (she still has some pink, but it's not quite as vibrant as it should be), and I need to find a way to fix the crack in her wing, but otherwise, I thought she was relatively good...considering she's my first ever DB restoration. Please excuse the slight smudges of paint and such, hopefully I'll be able to improve in the future...
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Wart for sending Glider to the Rescue Home. She is very happy frolicking in the meadows with her pony friends.
